Wolves In The Drone Doom is a one man operation, so here's a little about the author.

My name is Will, I am from the UK and I live, work, study and play music in London. For as long as I can remember music has been my primary passion.

I got into metal in in the late 00s having been into hardcore, punk and indie for most of my teens before this. I really discovered metal though listening to heavier and more metallic hardcore so my feelings are that the two genres, whilst somewhat disparate, are irrevocably connected and approach the same idea of “anger as an energy” from different standpoints. From that often comes two quite different attitudes to music and life, which I have found to be a recurring theme through my journey in heavy music.

Everything here is of course just my opinion, so I really welcome comments and discussion. There are so many blogs out there like this, but ultimately the one's that are most engaging are the ones filled with the most personality. Music is created by humans, with an emotional and psychological essence, so when talking about music I believe the same approach should be taken.
